Carbon Shortcuts: Episode 4 of 4
"The carbon neutral 2030 target is not an individual target at an individual firm. It's a whole-of-industry strategy aimed at balancing the carbon sequestration efforts with livestock emissions across the entire agricultural sector. So, it doesn't mean that any one farm has to be carbon neutral. The first impact farmers are likely to face is the 2030 supply chain targets, where their supply chain will demand lower emissions. National policy changes may also come into play but remain incentive-based in Australia, unlike New Zealand," Richard explained.
BONUS Carbon Shortcuts: Bobby Miller
"Farmers are at the forefront of climate change and have a critical role to play in reducing emissions and building a sustainable future." - Bobby Miller
Carbon Shortcuts: Episode 3 of 4

Carbon Shortcuts: Episode 2
“by 2030, that [insetting carbon] is going to be the main game in town, a shift out of this notion of diversified income from carbon. Realising that if we didn't keep it for ourselves, we might lose the main game which is selling our product” - Prof. Richard Eckard
Carbon Shortcuts: Episode 1:
“Agriculture in its own right is going to struggle to meet its own supply chain targets by 2030 to 2050. This notion that there are all these surplus offsets to suddenly provide to the industrial sector is quite fanciful”.
